We were saddened to hear about the recent passing of Ueli Steck on the Nepalese Himalayan mountain Nuptse, which neighbors Mount Everest.

 

Steck, the famed Swiss mountain climber often called “The Swiss Machine” because of his unparalleled athletic abilities and willingness to take risks, was 40.
